Pick-up Truck and Van Collide on Blind Corner

An outbound pick-up truck being operated by a harvesting contractor and an inbound van (glass repair company) collided on the Dargie Lake Road. The pick-up truck was able to stop before the collision. The front of the van contacted the left front corner and fender of the pick-up truck. Although there were no injuries, both vehicles suffered extensive damage. The incident has been reported to the RCMP.

Recommendations to Prevent a Recurrence

Reduce speed on roads that have hazards like blind corners because not everyone travelling on the roads is familiar with them. Contractors should inform any service companies of the driving hazards, road conditions and policies for operating motor vehicles on Company roads.
