Operator Cut Leg with Chainsaw While Limbing

The supplier was limbing a tree and believes that the upper tip of the chainsaw bar must have contacted the log or a limb, resulting in a rapid “kick back” and then hitting his leg.

Recommendations to Prevent a Recurrence

Always maintain the proper position in relation to the object being cut and use the proper technique when using a chainsaw.
